When studying the game SSBU, I have observed a common tendency among novice players, which I have strangely named the "Casino Effect". Admittedly, this term may seem unconventional, but it accurately captures the phenomenon as I perceive it.
This phenomenon manifests more frequently when a player is knocked off-stage. In such a situation, their available options become limited, yet the game is far from over.
Many beginners instinctively opt to perform a Directional Influence IN (DI IN) to reset the neutral position or to strike their opponent once again.
In this particular scenario, human nature comes into play. The player recognizes that they are in a disadvantageous position and desires to escape from it as quickly as possible.
Hence, it is often wiser to focus on minimizing the advantages gained by one's opponents rather than attempting to regain the previous state of control.
